  • "plainspoken," "down to earth," "not a politician," "common sense answers" --didn't Republicans learn anything from electing GW Bush? We need leaders that understand that today's issues are complex, and who don't try to pass off simple answers as plausible when they really aren't.

  • I think the reason is the one Bezos gave when they launched the latest-generation Kindle last summer: Not publishing numbers hampers the competition. Besides, if they published numbers, what would 'analysts' do, not being able to make up numbers out of thin air?
